Grab your EVP recorder and EMF detector! Tracing the footsteps of The Atlantic Paranormal Society, made famous by the Sci Fi Channel’s television program “Ghost Hunters” (and “Ghost Hunters International”), you’ll visit all the chilling U.K. locales that the TAPS team has verified as being “haunted”, as well as a few locations they have yet to visit. Hold on to someone close because in the U.K., things do go bump in the night!

Day 1Departure – You depart on your overnight transatlantic flight.

Day 2 – Welcome to Ghostly Great Britain! – You’ll be met at Edinburgh airport by your driver and taken in to the city of Edinburgh, a city that holds over a thousand years of history, mystery and tradition. The day and evening are yours to get acquainted with this extraordinary city. (Edinburgh Hotel: Edinburgh Grosvenor Hilton or 4-star equivalent.)

Day 3 – Let the Haunt Hunt Begin… – After a full Scottish breakfast, you will explore Edinburgh Castle which has a history dating back over 900 years. Edinburgh Castle is reputed to be one of the most haunted spots in Scotland. In fact, Edinburgh itself has been called the most haunted city in all of Europe. On various occasions, visitors to the castle have reported a phantom piper, a headless drummer, the spirits of French prisoners from the Seven Years War and colonial prisoners from the American Revolutionary War - even the ghost of a dog wandering in the grounds' dog cemetery. This evening, you’ll join a walking tour, “Ghosts and Ghouls”. A long history of murder, torture, hangings and plague has left a haunting legacy on the city's Old Town and ghostly apparitions are said to now walk its streets. You’ll end your tour with a complimentary drink in the atmospheric Megget’s Cellar, a candlelit nook located above the Underground Vaults, where the guide will continue to entertain you with eerie tales from Edinburgh’s past. (Edinburgh Hotel: Edinburgh Hilton or 4-star equivalent.)

Day 4 – Exploring Eerie Edinburgh – After a full Scottish breakfast, you’ll visit The Ragged School and Camera Obscura, investigated by the TAPS Ghost Hunters International team and confirmed to be haunted through EVP's and photographs. Spirits were detected on EVP to have said, “… out of here…” and when asked if a particular ghost went by another name than ‘George’, he was heard to have whispered, “Yes.” Find out for yourself what spooky spirits await! (Edinburgh Hotel: Edinburgh Hilton or 4-star equivalent.)

Day 5 – In to England – You’ll collect your mid-sized, automatic transmission, air-conditioned rental car, with GPS, today and head out of Edinburgh. You’ll drive south to the Northumberland area, home of Chillingham Castle. Chillingham Castle is widely regarded as one of, if not the, most haunted places in the country. Dating back over 800 years this castle was built for one purpose and one purpose alone - killing. In the heart of Northumberland the castle was the first line of defense, preventing the Scots getting over the border to invade England back in the days of William Wallace when the castle was ruled over by King Edward I (Edward Longshanks). It has a truly amazing, yet horrific history. Then it’s on to Alnwick Castle. You may recognize the castle from many movie scenes, including the ‘Harry Potter’ movies. It is said that a vampire once frequented this castle! This one-time lord of the estate lived underneath it and would emerge at night to attack the local villagers. An outbreak of plague was also attributed to the unholy creature, and this resulted in the villagers digging the monster up from its shallow grave and burning it. Continue driving south to a bit of luxury – your home for the night, Macdonald Linden Hall. (Northumberland Hotel: Macdonald Linden Hall or 4-1/2 star equivalent.)

Day 6 – Deeper into England – This morning, a long, lovely drive awaits. After breakfast, you’ll drive south to the town of Grantham, where you will find Belvoir Castle. Belvoir (pronounced “Beaver”) Castle is said to be haunted by 3 former employees of the castle (a mother, Joan Flower, and her 2 daughters, Margaret and Phillipa), self-proclaimed witches, who lived in the castle in the early 17th century. Having cursed the owners, fatal events befell the count and countess of the castle, resulting in the death of 2 of their children and sickness upon the rest. The outcome in all this was even more death. When being examined by a Justice of the Peace, Joan Flower called for bread and butter and cried that she wished, “it would never go through” her if she were guilty of her crimes. She put the bread into her mouth, mumbled a few words and promptly choked to death. Her guilt was affirmed and with it, the fate of her 2 daughters, who were hanged in Lincoln jail in 1618. Do they still haunt Belvoir Castle, seeking their revenge? Explore on your own and find out. Tonight, we’ve booked you into a reputedly haunted hotel, the Grange Courtyard in Leicester. (Leicester Hotel: Grange Courtyard or 3-star equivalent.)

Day 7 – Investigating Leicester – After a full English breakfast, you’ll head out to see all of Leicester’s haunted locales, including Belgrave Hall, Leicester Castle, the Guildhall and Newarke Houses. Visual and audible evidence of hauntings have been captured at all of these sites. The evening is yours to review your evidence or perhaps discuss your findings with the locals at a nearby pub. (Leicester Hotel: Grange Courtyard or 3-star equivalent.)

Day 8 – The Most Haunted Village – After breakfast, you’ll check out of your “haunted” hotel and continue driving south to the England’s lovely southeast and enter the county of Kent. Your first stop is Leeds Castle, which is said to also be one of the most haunted castles in England. The castle’s beauty is marred by the ghost of a black dog, supposedly an omen of death. Then, it’s on to lovely Pluckley Village, the ‘most haunted village in England’. You’ll visit the Black Horse Inn, haunted by a ghostly prankster who delights in hiding the personal possessions of staff and customers alike, and has even locked the landlady out of her pub on more than one occasion. Tonight, we’ll book you in at Elvey Farm, also a reputedly haunted inn. (Ashford B&B: Elvey Farm or 4-star equivalent.)

Day 9 – Final Destination: London – If you’ve survived the spooky night at Elvey Farm, this morning after a hearty English breakfast, you’ll drive to the Hellfire Caves in Buckinghamshire. You may remember the TAPS team verifying the haunting of this underground lair. On entering the Caves, long winding passages lead deep underground for over half a mile, through the great Banqueting Hall and past various chambers. In these you will find scenes with various members of the Hellfire Club. The final destination is the Inner Temple which is reached by crossing the River Styx. You are now several hundred feet below the Church on top of the hill. The Hellfire Caves are deep, dark and mysterious. Then it’s on to Hampton Court Palace. Built in 1525, the famous Haunted Gallery at Hampton Court Palace is reputedly stalked by the spirit of Catherine Howard, who was executed on February 13th, 1542, by King Henry VIII, apparently enraged by her pre-marital affairs. Visitors to the room have described hearing screams and seeing apparitions in the gallery. Additionally, security cameras caught an unexplained apparition in December 2003 that, to this day, cannot be explained by anyone, including the palace’s staff or management. Late this afternoon, you’ll drop off your rental car in London and check in to your home for the next 3 nights, which is coincidentally, located right next to the very haunted Tower of London! (London Hotel: Guoman/Thistle Tower or 4-star equivalent.)

Day 10 – London’s Haunts – After a full English breakfast, take a trip down the River Thames to Greenwich. Visit the National Maritime Museum where you will find the Tulip Staircase. There you’ll see the staircase where a famous photograph was taken by Rev. Ralph Hardy, a retired clergyman from White Rock, British Columbia in 1966. He intended merely to photograph the elegant spiral staircase (known as the "Tulip Staircase") in the Queen's House section of the museum. Upon development, however, the photo revealed a shrouded figure climbing the stairs, seeming to hold the railing with both hands. Experts, including some from Kodak, who examined the original negative, concluded that it had not been tampered with. It's been said that unexplained figures have been seen on occasion in the vicinity of the staircase, and mysterious footsteps have also been heard. Take a few snapshots of your own… who knows what will ‘develop’. Tonight, stop by the Viaduct Tavern. The TAPS team stopped by this old pub during their time in London. It dates from 1875, and is the last example of a late Victorian gin palace left in the City of London. It is also prone to suffer from bouts of poltergeist activity. The restless spirit that haunts the Viaduct Tavern has a propensity to haunt the pub’s cellars where several members of staff have experienced its unwelcome attentions. (London Hotel: Guoman/Thistle Tower or 4-star equivalent.)

Day 11 – London’s Tower – Today, you’ll explore one of the most visited and haunted locales in the city of London, the Tower of London. Grim, grey and awe-inspiring, the Tower has dominated the London landscape and the pages of history, since its construction by William the Conqueror in 1078. Ghosts who still hang around are those of its royal past and are said to have been murdered at The Tower, including Henry VI, the “Little Princes” (Edward V, age 12 and Richard Duke of York, age 10), who are thought to have been murdered in 1483 on the probable command of the Duke of Gloucestershire, Anne Boleyn (one of King Henry VIII’s former wives), Sir Walter Raleigh, and many more. Tonight, you’ll take a walk with one of the most renowned experts on the subject of ghost hunting, Richard Jones. Richard Jones’ Ghost Tour features storytelling at its very best, and is guaranteed to send a shiver down the spine and a chill to the marrow. (London Hotel: Guoman/Thistle Tower or 4-star equivalent.)

Day 12 – Fare Thee Well – This morning after a full English breakfast, we’ve arranged an airport transfer to London’s Heathrow airport. We hope you’ve captured some amazing evidence and we know that you’ll just be dying to come back. (For additional tour days, please inquire with us.)

NOTE: Ireland can be added to this tour to complete the Ghost Hunters’ sites visited, including Leap Castle and Lisheen Castle Ruins… inquire with Tour Manager.

Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1Departure – Depart on your overnight transatlantic flight.

Day 2 – Welcome to Scotland! – You’ll be met at Edinburgh airport by your driver and taken in to the city of Edinburgh, the inspiring capital of Scotland. 'Edinburgh,' said writer Robert Louis Stevenson, 'is what Paris ought to be'. Take a look around - Edinburgh Castle dominates the city-center skyline and from its ramparts you look down on medieval lanes and elegant, sweeping terraces that hold over a thousand years of history, mystery and tradition, combined with a modern, dynamic city with a distinctively Scottish twist. The day and evening are yours to get acquainted with this extraordinary city. (Edinburgh Hotel: Edinburgh Hilton or 4-star equivalent.)

Day 3 – History and Mystery in Edinburgh – After a full Scottish breakfast, visit the beautiful Rosslyn Chapel, notably featured in the cinematic hit, “The DaVinci Code”. Founded in 1446, the Chapel is in fact only part of the choir of what was intended to be a larger cruciform building with a tower at its center. The Chapel has a deep and turbulent history and displays architecture and carvings that are not to be missed. Afterwards, go back into the city’s center and you’ll find that hidden beneath the Royal Mile lies Edinburgh’s deepest secret: a warren of hidden ‘closes’ where real people lived, worked and died.  For centuries they had lain forgotten and abandoned. The Real Mary King’s Close, Edinburgh’s most famous Close, is where you will experience the sights, sounds and maybe even smells of an amazing street that time forgot.  Where everyday people went about their day to day lives and where you will now walk in their footsteps. Tonight, you’ll be entertained and possibly spooked by Mercat Tours’ Ghosts and Ghouls Extended Tour. By day Edinburgh is a bustling metropolis – but at night the old buildings and narrow closes take on a more sinister air…A long history of murder, torture, hangings and plague has left a haunting legacy on the city's Old Town and ghostly apparitions now walk its streets. End your experience with a complimentary drink in the atmospheric Megget’s Cellar, a candlelit nook located above the Underground Vaults, where the guide will continue to entertain you with eerie tales from Edinburgh’s past. (Edinburgh Hotel: Edinburgh Hilton or 4-star equivalent.)

Day 4 – Royal Edinburgh – Today, after your full Scottish breakfast, you’ll visit the more “royal” places in the city. First, you’re off to the Royal Yacht Britannia. This magnificent ship has played host to some of the most famous people in the world. But, above all, she was home to Her Majesty The Queen and the Royal Family. Next, you’ll take in historic royal Edinburgh with a visit to the Palace of Holyroodhouse. Founded as a monastery in 1128, the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh is The Queen's official residence in Scotland. Situated at the end of the Royal Mile, the Palace of Holyroodhouse is closely associated with Scotland's turbulent past, including Mary, Queen of Scots, who lived here between 1561 and 1567. Successive kings and queens have made the Palace of Holyroodhouse the premier royal residence in Scotland. Today, the Palace is the setting for State ceremonies and official entertaining. Next, it’s Edinburgh Castle, the ancient stronghold which dominates the sky-line of the city of Edinburgh from its position atop Castle Rock. Edinburgh Castle dominates the city of Edinburgh like no other castle in Scotland and over one thousand years of history sit on top of the famous Edinburgh rock. When you see this mighty fortress, you will understand why over a million people per year visit Edinburgh Castle. (Edinburgh Hotel: Edinburgh Hilton or 4-star equivalent.)

Day 5 – “Fore!” St. Andrews  – This morning after your full Scottish breakfast, you collect your rental car (mid-size, automatic transmission, air-conditioned car), leave Edinburgh, and head off to St. Andrews – the home of golf and Scotland’s oldest university, University of St. Andrews! For the golf enthusiast, a trip to St. Andrews is a call home from the mother-ship. (A day of golf at St. Andrews may be arranged upon request – additional fees apply.) For those who are not golf nuts, St. Andrews still has plenty to offer. Visit the university (recently attended by Prince William), or see the beautiful cathedral (once Scotland’s largest building). A visit to the picturesque ruins of St Andrews Castle, standing on a rocky promontory much worn away by the sea, is definitely worth a visit. Tonight, relax in your five-star hotel and soak in the atmosphere of this classic Scottish town. (St. Andrews Hotel: Fairmont, St. Andrews or 5-star equivalent)

Day 6 – Dundee and Aberdeen – After a hearty Scottish breakfast, you continue north, stopping on the way in the fourth largest town in Scotland, Dundee. Dundee is situated near the mouth of the River Tay, in the region of Angus and is also known as the City of Discovery. It was here in 1309 that Robert the Bruce was declared King of the Scots and also the place where William Wallace was educated and committed the first act of murder that caused him to go into hiding. Then it’s on to Glamis Castle in the rolling hills of Angus. Childhood home to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother (d. 30 Mar 2002), Glamis (pronounced Glahmz) Castle gives the appearance of an almost fairy-tale-like castle. The castle’s history, the stunning interior and the beautiful gardens will make a lasting impression and add to a memorable visit. Next, it’s on to your 11 acre home for the next 2 nights, Aberdeen. (Aberdeen Hotel: Marcliffe at Pitfodels or 5-star equivalent)

Day 7 –Aberdeen and Balmoral Castle – After breakfast, you have the opportunity to explore Aberdeen, the third largest city in Scotland. Today, you’ll drive west to Balmoral Castle; the Scottish home of the Royal Family since it was purchased for Queen Victoria by Prince Albert in 1852. (Note: open daily from 10am -5pm from Saturday 29th March until Thursday 31st July.) In addition to seeing everything this beautiful castle has to offer, we recommend enjoying the marked walks through the woods, up Craig Gowan hill overlooking the Castle and along the riverside. These marked walks offer stunning views of the Castle and Estates and pass by some of the commemorative monuments. Return this evening to Aberdeen and enjoy a day well spent and a night of luxury. (Aberdeen Hotel: Marcliffe at Pitfodels or 5-star equivalent)

Day 8 – Inverness & Loch Ness  – Today is about adventure. After breakfast, you’ll set out for a lovely drive from Aberdeen to Inverness, stopping on the way at Cawdor Castle. A superb castle and just what every visitor is looking for ...  Scottish history that you can touch and see and sense for yourself. Cawdor Castle is a splendid house and the home of the Cawdor family to this day.

Next, you’ll see the ruins of Urquhart Castle, alongside Loch Ness. Urquhart was, in its day, one of the largest strongholds of medieval Scotland, and remains an impressive structure, splendidly situated on a headland overlooking Loch Ness. It is also near these castle ruins where the majority of “Nessie” (Loch Ness Monster) sightings occur. Just 2 miles from Urquhart you will find Loch Ness Cruises in Drumnadrochit – we recommend one of these cruises and will happily making bookings on your behalf. (Inverness Hotel: Kingsmills Hotel or 4-star equivalent.)

Day 9 – A Sporting Day – After a hearty full Scottish breakfast, you’ll visit Culloden Battlefield. As the last land battle within the UK, in which King George II’s troops defeated Bonnie Prince Charlie and his Jacobite supporters in 1746, this virtually untouched site is of major international and historical significance. Next, you’ll enjoy the country pursuit of Clay Pigeon shooting set in a beautiful wood in Moray which was part of the original Caledonian Pine Forest. Upon return to Inverness, you will return your rental car as you will no longer need it. After such an exciting day, perhaps an evening relaxing in a local pub is just the thing for tonight’s entertainments. (Inverness Hotel: Kingsmills Hotel or 4-star equivalent.)

Day 10 – A Wee Dram – A full Scottish breakfast will give your stomach a good base for today’s adventure… discovering the Whisky Trail! You’ll find more than half of Scotland’s malt whisky distilleries here, each with its own warm welcome, and an invitation to see, smell, taste and absorb the magic of whisky. No need to worry about driving – that’s why we have hired your own personal driver and guide for the entire day. You’ll be the local expert on “Uisghe Beatha”, the water of life, when you return home. (Inverness Hotel: Kingsmills Hotel or 4-star equivalent.)

Day 11 – Going to Glasgow – After breakfast, you’ll travel south to Glasgow. We’ve arranged for you to take the train for this 3-1/2 hour trip so you can sit back, relax, and take in the view of this phenomenally beautiful country. The day is yours to relax and do exactly as you please. (Glasgow Hotel: Glasgow Hilton or 4-star equivalent.)

Day 12 – Glasgow – The day is yours to explore Glasgow. Glasgow is one of Europe’s most exciting and beautiful destinations, combining the energy and sophistication of a great international city with some of Scotland’s most spectacular scenery. Glasgow is also an architectural dream: Victorian red & honey sandstone, Italianate steeples and medieval spires along with neo-gothic towers and the art nouveau of Charles Rennie Mackintosh decorate the largest city in Scotland. Glasgow has an amazing portfolio of more than twenty museums and galleries – many of them free – including the unique Burrell Collection, stunning Mackintosh House and cool and contemporary Gallery of Modern Art. Retail therapy and international restaurants abound. This is the ideal time to squeeze in your last minute shopping! (Glasgow Hotel: Glasgow Hilton or 4-star equivalent.)

Day 13 – A Fond Farewell – We know you’ll be sad to leave this beautiful country with its warm, friendly people. After a full Scottish breakfast, we have arranged an airport transfer to Glasgow airport. “Beannachd Leat” or as we say in English, Farewell.

* Prices from $3,695/pp based on double occupancy. Single, triple and quadruple occupants will change rate. Final price will be based upon exchange rate at time of booking, and time of year traveling.

Take the afternoon to relax, or may want to jump into this exciting city and get your sightseeing underway. Tonight, we’ll present you with a bird’s eye view of this great city as you take a flight on the London Eye. (London Hotel: Millennium Copthorne Tara or equivalent.)

Day 3 – Royals and Celebs! – After a full English breakfast, you’ll head over to Hampton Court Palace. Once home to Henry VIII, this magnificent palace see what life would have been like for the murderous king and his court. Don’t forget to explore the maze, which covers a third of an acre and contains half a mile of paths. And watch out for “unearthly apparitions”. One of the famous king’s wives, Jane Seymour, died at Hampton Court Palace and is said to still roam the grounds. Next, you’re off to rub elbows with the elite at Madame Tussaud’s. Start your day by sneaking past the paparazzi and attend a photo shoot with Kate Moss. Then mingle with Brad, Angelina and all the other stars in your very own premiere party. Visit the Chamber of Horrors, an inner-chamber where things take an even scarier turn. See the new Sports Zone, visit royals, the Music Zone, and even world leaders! The remainder of the day is yours to explore the exciting city. (London Hotel: Millennium Copthorne Tara or equivalent.)

Day 4 – Olde London Towne – Today, after your full English breakfast, you will catch the Original Sightseeing London Bus Tour. This hop-on/hop-off bus is perfect for catching all of London’s sites, enabling you to spend more or less time exactly where you’d like. Then, you’ll visit the Tower of London. This edifice is over 900 years old! See the fortress where history was made (and spirits of the past may still roam the grounds). Your Yeoman Warder (Beefeater) will detail the Tower’s lengthy and diverse history. And, don’t forget to see the Crown Jewels while you’re there. This evening, you visit the theatre in London’s famous West End. We’ve secured excellent seats for a family-fun production, such as Mary Poppins, The Lion King, or The Sound of Music.  Whichever music you choose, you’re certain to leave with a happy tune in your heart. (London Hotel: Millennium Copthorne Tara or equivalent.)

Day 5 – Exploring We Go! – This morning after your full English breakfast, you collect your rental car (car size will be suitable to accommodate a family plus luggage), leave London, and head off to Paradise Wildlife Park, a fantastic, fun filled, destination for all the family. The Park has an amazing range of animals including tigers, lions, monkeys, zebras, camels and wolves. And, what makes this experience really unique is the fact that you can get up close and personal, meeting and feeding many of the animals. There are three themed adventure playgrounds, children’s’ rides, indoor soft play areas and many new attractions all the time. Then, you’ll head west into the beautiful Cotswolds where you’ll check into your hotel. Renowned for being very family-friendly, Calcot Manor is one of the most highly-acclaimed of today’s new breed of British country hotels. A former English farmhouse set around a pretty courtyard of lime trees and ancient stone barns and stables (dating back to the 14th century), Calcot is cuddled by beautiful gardens and its own 220 acre-estate, three miles west of the quiet Cotswold market town of Tetbury in Gloucestershire. You’ll enjoy a lovely dinner here (included in your package), and breakfast the next morning. (Cotswolds Hotel: Calcot Manor)

Day 6 – Country Charm and Chocolate – After you’ve said goodbye to Calcot Manor, you’ll visit Cotswold Farm Park. Established in 1971, the Farm Park can be aptly described as a pageant of history on four legs. Alongside the Park’s serious aims of conservation and education, visitors of all ages will find themselves easily entertained. On display is an unrivalled collection of rare breeds of British farm animals including sheep, cattle, pigs, goats, horses, poultry and waterfowl. Step into living history with their outdoor and indoor animal displays and daily demonstrations. After exploring the “country life”, you’ll head north to the city of Birmingham and explore the “chocolate life” at Cadbury World. Learn the history of chocolate, how Cadbury started, how it’s made today, and more! There’s lots of tasting to be done, and a playground is available to burn off some of that sugar. Tonight, you’ll stay in the lively city of Birmingham, very nearby Cadbury World. (Birmingham Hotel: Hilton Birmingham Bromsgrove or equivalent)

Day 7 – Animals and Aquatics – After breakfast, you will continue driving north and visit Chester Zoo, England’s number one zoo with over 7000 animals and 400 different species, including some of the most endangered species on the planet! After visiting Chester’s many land species, you’ll head just a few miles north to meet some of their aquatic friends in the giant aquarium, Blue Planet Aquarium. In addition to see a multitude of aquatic wildlife, you’ll also learn about conservation, and possibly even see someone diving with the sharks! After this full day, you’ll drive into the European Capital of Culture for the year 2008, Liverpool. (Liverpool Hotel: Radisson SAS Liverpool or equivalent)

Day 8 – Family Fun at Blackpool Pleasure Beach – Today is all about fun, fun and more fun! You’ll visit Blackpool Pleasure Beach with over 125 rides and attractions and spectacular shows. Take a thrilling ride on the Pepsi Max Big One, turn your world upside down & get ready to do it again on the Revolution or experience the classic twin tracked coaster the Grand National. (Rides and shows available upon purchase at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.) Head back to Liverpool and take a lovely evening ferry down the River Mersey, or perhaps take in The Beatles Story experience. The evening is yours to explore the city as you choose. (Liverpool Hotel: Radisson SAS Liverpool or equivalent)

Day 9 – Olde York – Before there was a ‘New York’, there was (olde) York, in England. York is one of the most intriguing cities in England - a city layered with history, beauty and variety. Superbly preserved, York has witnessed more than 2000 years of vibrant history. Highlights include the magnificent York Minster, the world’s biggest and best railway museum and the Castle Museum with its perfectly recreated Victorian and Edwardian street-scenes. Let 21st century technology transport you back to Viking Age York at JORVIK or marvel at William the Conqueror’s Clifford’s Tower and wander through the terrifying York Dungeon.  Quaint tea shops and “pedestrianised” streets make York an ideal city to explore on foot. Enjoy seeing York’s churches, the riverside, railway heritage, Roman York and the city walls. Take one of “Five routes to retail heaven” around cobbled streets containing 2000 shops. Today, after you arrive, you can leave your rental car here – you won’t need it anymore. Then, you’ll ride the City Sightseeing hop-on/hop-off bus to take you around to all of these wonderful attractions.  Stroll The Shambles - a perfect medieval thoroughfare - flag stoned, incredibly narrow and lined with overhanging timber-framed houses. Once the home of York’s butchers, you can still see the old meat hooks on one or two of the houses. The cobblestone streets brim with buskers, shoppers and street entertainment.  (York Hotel: Hilton York or equivalent.)

Day 10 – Back to London – This morning, after a full English breakfast, you’ll ride the English railways from York to London. The remainder of the day and evening is yours to explore on your own. (London Hotel: Millennium Copthorne Tara or equivalent.)

Day 11 – Wonderful Windsor – After breakfast, you’ll head in to Windsor. The activity today is your choice. If little ones are a part of your family, you may choose to go to Britain’s Legoland. If, however, you’re looking for a little more culture, then Windsor Castle is the better choice. Either way, you’ll love the charming city of Windsor. Windsor and The Royal Borough lie to the west of London in the charming rural countryside of Royal Berkshire.   The River Thames flows through the whole of the Royal Borough and it is along or near the river that many historic and attractive towns and villages can be found.   This is an exciting, fashionable and sophisticated area, rich in things to see and do.   There is excellent shopping and dining, interesting walks and tours, boat trips and open top bus tours, historic gardens and world-famous racecourses. All this, together with a host of international events, makes Windsor and The Royal Borough a year round visitor destination. You can arrive at Windsor by train, boat, or taxicab – the choice is yours. (London Hotel: Millennium Copthorne Tara or equivalent.)

Day 11 – A Fond Family Farewell – We know you’ll be sad to leave this beautiful country, but anxious to begin planning your next trip to visit England and all new locales in the UK. After a full English breakfast, you’ll return to Heathrow via the Heathrow Express and journey back home. Farewell, lovely England.

* Final price will be based upon exchange rate at time of booking, total number of adults and children in package, and time of year traveling.
